Back Bay is one of the most desirable locations in Boston and is one of the more expensive locations as well. Back Bay is one of the more central locations to all that Boston has to offer. Then main roads in Back Bay are Beacon Street, Marlborough street, Commonwealth Ave (Comm Ave), Newbury Street and Boylston St. Back Bay is comprised of Historic Brownstones, Multi -Million dollar Mansions, and High End Luxury Condominiums.
The Back bay is just steps to the Charles River and the Esplanade which is great for jogging, and all around outdoor activities. In addition, Many areas are within quick walking distance to the Public Garden and a handful of buildings have amazing Public Garden and Boston Common views. The one thing that the Back Bay has to offer is Amazing views of the Charles River. If you want this view, you usually have to pay for it, but its worth it. If you want these river views, you either need to be in a modern mid-rise building like the Clarendon, Mandarin or Avalon Apartments. The other option is to find a condominium on Beacon Street (even side) that faces the rear. This side of beacon street, on the higher floors, can have some of the most amazing views of the river. If you have a roof deck, then you might become quite popular come July, 4th.
