1 Bedroom Overlooking Monument Square in Charlestown

9A Monument Square 2A

In addition to the duplex that I shot last week. I also took photos of a 1 bed unit that was located in the same building. You can’t beat the location and the layout has a ton of potential. At the time I got there it was vacant, but the space is very open and unique. The views from the living room look right at the monument and it gets a ton of light through the bowfront window. It is being offered at $499,900 and you can see more stats here.

Monument Square in Charlestown.

9A Monument Square, Charlestown MA.

I just love Monument Square, and if you want to live in Charlestown, you probably will want to live at this location. Why wouldn’t you, you get this right outside your door everyday.

Monument Square

The area is so rich in history, and the actual building (9A Monument Square #1) was the former home of the mayor of Charlestown Richard Frothingham. Yesterday I took photos for this listing and it’s a lovely 3+ bedroom that is 2238 sf listed at $1.3 Million you can see more stats here.

Awesome Timelapse/Video of Fenway Park…. Game 6 of the World Series

Meant to post this last week when it was more relevant, but this is fabulously Boston. I always love a good timelapse. Bummed that it won’t allow me to embed in the blog, but click on the link and you’ll see it fine.

What $327,900 gets you in Hyde Park

18 Summer Street

I’ll be honest, this was the first time I’ve been to Hyde Park and I know very little about the location. I mostly do real estate in the Back Bay, South End and other surrounding areas. I was asked to take pics of a nice little single family home on Summer Street. It was a 2+ bedroom house with a finished attic and nice sized back yard. The one thing that struck me the most about this is that it is super close to the commuter rail and according to the MBTA website its only a 14 minute ride to Back Bay station. This was a good intro to what you get for roughly $330k in Hyde Park. Hope it sells fast!

Here are the pics.

Michael Jordan’s Home Goes up for Auction

I was checking out real estate news and saw that Jordan’s home is going up for auction this months on the 22nd. Interesting move on selling it and I wonder if it has a reserve. Personally I think the exterior is pretty stale, but you have to love the history of some of the rooms.  I never understood why homes were ever built with glass blocks as walls, but Jordan decided to make his whole entrance out of them. Oh well, he’s still the man so I can live with that. You can see all the stats at Conceirge Auctions here. They say the previous listing price was 29 million when it actually had a 8 million price drop to 21 Million. A little misleading, but I have a feeling it won’t go for 21 million either.

Here is the video. Pretty solid clip.
